Finding Space Age and Factorio 2.0 blueprints
How to find Factorio 2.0 and Space Age planet blueprints on Beltworks—and avoid version mismatches when importing.
Updated 2026-08-17
Factorio 2.0 and the Space Age expansion added planets, quality, new production buildings, and logistics tricks that older blueprints never used. Mixing versions is one of the top reasons imports fail or ghosts look wrong. This guide is how to search Beltworks with that reality in mind.
What changed for blueprinters
New machines: foundry, electromagnetic plant, cryogenic plant, agricultural tower, biochamber, recycler, and more.
New logistics contexts: space platforms, planet-specific constraints, elevated rails.
Quality tiers that change thruput assumptions on the same footprint.
A pre-2.0 smelting column may still work on Nauvis; a Fulgora scrap line will not appear in 1.1 at all.
Search by planet and building
Use tags and text for planets—Vulcanus, Fulgora, Gleba, Aquilo, space platforms—and for signature buildings. Entity search is especially strong here: query the machine you must have, not only a vibe word like “endgame.”
Example intents
“Foundry cast plate tileable” + entity foundry.
“Fulgora scrap” + exclude Nauvis-only tags if your filters allow.
“Elevated rail stacker” for 2.0 rail catalogs.
Version fields on Beltworks
Where available, Beltworks stores a game version integer parsed from the blueprint. Prefer designs that match your client. If a string fails to import, confirm you are on 2.0+, own Space Age when required, and that mods match.
Native Beltworks uploads should state 2.0 / Space Age explicitly in the description. Imported catalog entries vary in quality—read entity lists before committing a huge paste.
Classic Nauvis in a Space Age world
You often still want unbeaconed early smelting, yellow-belt balancers, and simple solar tiles. Exclude planet tags or search “early” + belt/power when you need fundamentals. The Top list remains useful for proven classics that survived the version jump.
Import checklist for Space Age
1. Game updated; DLC owned if the design needs it.
2. Mods aligned (quality QoL mods can affect expectations even when prototypes exist).
3. Test on a sandbox surface that matches the planet’s constraints when possible.
4. Watch for landfill, cliff explosives, and platform requirements called out in the description.
Quality over novelty
Space Age metas move fast. Favor designs with clear descriptions, sensible entity lists, and community favorites over untitled icon soup. Pair Beltworks search with the import guide so a good string actually lands in your library.
