FAQ
Answers about the archive, imports, and guides. For long walkthroughs, see Guides.
What is Beltworks?
Beltworks is an unofficial community site for browsing, searching, and sharing Factorio blueprints. We also publish original how-to guides for Factorio 2.0 / Space Age. Beltworks is not affiliated with Wube Software.
Where does the blueprint catalog come from?
Two places. (1) Public FactorioPrints / Factorio School listings imported so historical designs stay searchable, always with source links and an Imported badge when applicable. (2) Native uploads created on Beltworks by signed-in users. Read how imports and credits work.
How do I use a blueprint in Factorio?
Open a print page, copy the string, then import it from Factorio’s blueprint library. Full walkthrough: How to import a blueprint string into Factorio.
What if the print is a blueprint book?
Copy string still copies the whole book. After import, open the book inside Factorio to grab individual children. See how to read a blueprint book on Beltworks.
Do I need an account?
Browsing and copying blueprints does not require an account. Sign in to favorite prints, build a collection, or upload your own designs.
Can I request removal of an imported blueprint?
Yes. If you authored a FactorioPrints / Factorio School listing and want the Beltworks copy hidden or removed, use Contact with the print URL, the original source URL, and proof of authorship. Details: reporting and removals.
How do I report spam or a bad listing?
Every print page has a Report action that opens Contact with the URL filled in. Describe the issue (spam, malware-like payload, impersonation). We also moderate empty spam uploads and policy violations.
Does Beltworks replace Factorio School or FactorioPrints?
No. Those archives remain valuable. Beltworks adds entity-aware search, Space Age guides, and native uploads, while linking back to public sources for imports. Comparison: Beltworks vs Factorio School.
Where are the written guides?
See Guidesfor import help, Vulcanus prep, Foundry unlocks, quality, console commands, hotkeys, and modding.
Does Beltworks show ads?
We may show Google AdSense ads on original guides and richer print pages to help host the archive. Ads are not placed on the thinnest imported catalog pages. See Privacy for how advertising and analytics partners process data.
Is Beltworks affiliated with Wube?
No. Factorio is a trademark of Wube Software. Beltworks is an independent fan project and is not endorsed by Wube.
