This laser defense system is completely self sustaining and tile-able.
While on full shooting speed research, each individual tile can sustain fire to 30-60 seconds, depending on time of day, but could last much much longer when multiple tiles are connected
This design is intended to not drain power from your main base, although you could connect for backup.
The solar panel to accumulator ratio is almost perfect, but rounded up for backup.
The substations do connect when the tiles are placed directly next to one another, but I left a gap in the screenshot to show each tile.
