Description
Smelter Book (Iron/Copper/Stone/Steel)
The Smelter V3.0
this is my blueprint book for all types of smelting.
(blue-) belted (no robots), fully 8-beaconed, tileable, vanilla!
the ores can be delivered by 2-4-0 and/or 2-8-0 trains.
renders and more information on FactorioBin and Factorio Blueprints.
forum topic: regarding my blueprints and other neat things.

i've added a stacker (incl. additional stackertracks) to the BP book. the trains can be scheduled with wait time or (my recommendation) empty/full cargo. the trainstops are 'intelligent', they will turn on as soon a full trainload can be loaded/unloaded and no train is present. the first station (closest to the stacker) of each resource will be always active to avoid the 'no path' error, because of that i recommend at least 2 trains per resource. the fuel requester chests are controlled by a CC at the stacker (preset to 10 nuclear fuel), its signal is transmitted by green wire at the rear end of the trainstations.
the trainstations are for LHD. there are also expandable mining outpost blueprints and a RHD->LHD T-junction included. the double rails will make sense if you mix the processed ores (about double the train-throughput [-> forum discussion]). this is possible as all smelters can be stacked onto each other.

ore unloading can be done by 2-4-0 and/or 2-8-0 trains, plates are transportet by 2-4-0 trains.

older versions:
history:
- V1.0 - initial release
- V1.1 - removed obsolete balancers - corrected station inserters
- V1.1a
- signal cable correction - V1.2 - updated Universal Stacker - added ore depot to bp book - reduced train rerouting (more minimum active stations [=> 2 instead of 1])
- V2.0 - major rework (incompatible to V1.X) - full belt compression with fewer furnaces -> smaller footprint - simplified station circuitry - made 2-8-0 trains standard for ore delivery
- V2.1 - improved train throughput - updated description
- V2.1a - added grid size information for dragging bps - introduced discussion topic in official forums
- V3.0 - added train-based (RHD) late game productions (MkII) - added simple Fuel supply system - all blueprints now with landfill
