When I was clearing old zones that had been mined out for AAI vehicles, I found that having one cleaner for each zone caused some UPS issues due to running several iterators in parallel.
Using a battery, a switch, inserters, and careful power pole placement/wiring I was able to make this modification to run in series.
This is designed to be expandable to as many zones as you have.
In the screenprint I have some numbers
- Standard Zone Cleaner including wire conditions and colors
- Combinator to assist with easy identification of resource
- Wired Power pole setup
- powers the last inserter and hooks up to right side switches
- powers the first inserter and hooks up to the left side switches. wire down powers the first zone controller
- inserter setup including wire conditions and colors
