Just a small Book for having Material Processed. Speed refers to Total smelting Capacity. Check each Recipe to determine how much capacity is supported by Belts.
I recommend using wood as Fuel, since its enough for the smelters. Works best with Mod Creating Mods like Bobs Greenhouse etc.
