Description
This is an enemy-detecting laser bank. The guns in front are not connected to power until the pilot gun begins to fire. If the pilot gun is destroyed the laser bank will engage, as a fail-safe. It can be overlapped with neighbouring banks for full coverage. Left power feed is from base main power. Top-right power source needs to be a separate reliable source that can sustain the minimum charge requirements of all pilot guns, even during high demand situation (solar/accumulators will not work for this because they will not sustain the trickle-charge overnight, recommend boilers).
System works by timing a power switch to trickle charge only a little bit more than is required to sustain minimum draw. Then, when the gun fires the trickle cannot keep up. Under a specified threshold on the accumulator, the power to the front guns is engaged and the pilot gun is also charged from the main grid.
