Advanced Oil Processing
This is my concept of a beaconless advanced oil processing. It works totally fine without robots, so you can build it right when you start with advanced oil processing and can still use it when you have robots.
The design should be a total allrounder. It should be able convert all the crude oil to plastic or all the crude oil to batteries. It also should be able to produce solid fuel by request or if the petroleum is piling up.
Try to make as much as possible:
Lubricant
As soon as you have robots make
450 Flamethrower amunition - to burn down forrest and biters
250 Explosives - to blow up stuff
Fill 250 Barrels Lubricant - Robots, Blue Belt
Fill 250 Barrels Sulfuric Acid - Blue Circuits
Fill 250 Barrels Light Oil - For your Flamethrowers
If everything of this is made the setup can process all the crude oil to
Batteries (4.75 /s)
Plastic (15 /s)
Or a mixture. If it runs free it will produce 8.4 plastic/s and 2.2 batteries/s
If plastic and batteries start to jamm up it will start to convert all the heavy to light oil and the light oil to soild fuel. This is the most efficient way to produce solid fuel. You can also put a signal for solid fuel at the red cable, so it will produce solid fuel from light oil regardless of how much plastic and batteries you have.
If plastic and batteries are totally blocked and the petroleum gas fills up it will also start to convert petroleum gas to solid fuel. I need to mention that I dont like it because it is inefficient und you could build plastic and batteries from that neat petroleum gas. If you really pull no petroleum gas out of the setup there are two chemie factories missing to produce solid fuel and the setup will lose efficency and that is ok because I hate you if you dont use your petroleum gas!
Extras to mention
There is a gauge for your fuids so you can see whats going on. I hope that you like it.
The Setup is stackable. You dont really need to stack it because it can convert all its input by its own but it helps for simpler input and looks nice.
I calculated and measured all the values it needs and produces. The calculation fittet my measurements. So here are the numbers:
maximum
Uses Crude Oil 160 /s, Water 525 /s, Power 13 MW, Coal 7.5 /s, Copper 4.7 /s, Iron 6.8 /s,
This are the maximum numbers! You can use them to scale your bus at the right hand side, but you will never build 15 plastic/s and 4.75 batteries/s at the same time!!
You really dont need to input the water and the crude oil by barrels. Just leave some space at the left side for your input and build near some water source. One pump is enough for two stacks stacks of this.
Feel free to use a lot more of electronic circuits to control what the setup is making. I just wanted to keep it simple. If you need help I would love to show you a setup with more control.
Bus considerations (Red Belt)
If you can support more than 3 lanes of this stacks you should really think about beacons. Never the less the bus can be scaled to support more.
1 Lane Batteries => 5,66 Stacks AOP
1 Lane Copper required (26.6 Copper/s)
2 Lane Iron required (37.5 Iron/s)
2 Lane Plastic => 3,55 Stacks AOP
1 Lane Coal required (26.6 Coal/s)
This are 9 Stacks AOP. If they idle and produce just solid fuel they fill up 4 lanes.
Chemical plant numbers calculation: 6 plastic and 19 batteries
1 refinery gives (crafting speed 1): 10 heavy 45 light 55 petroleum every 5 seconds
=> 8 refinery give: 16 heavy 72 light 88 petroleum per second
cracking 16 heavy per second (3 light per 4 heavy) + 12 light:
=> 0 heavy 84 light 88 petroleum per second
cracking 84 light per second (2 petrol per 3 light) -> + 57 petrol
