On my current and first playthrough I build this base on fulgora without any trains (its not my specialty to build train systems). This works without any train and fully with robots. Only downside is that is lacks energy for some time until the thunders. Other than that it produces everything you need and more than enough science packs for start. Also the scrap is sorted with the belts and a combinator and triggers if the storage chest of the specific item is full to go down to the "dumpers" through the requester chests.
