The Almost Everything Machine
An auto mall that is able to craft almost any item. After configuring requested items and raw ingredients, the AEM will figure out the rest and keep you stocked up on all the essentials!
First time setup
- Put fuel in the train and set to automatic so it "docks" with the station
- Configure what you want the AEM to make
- Configure what items the AEM should consider raw ingredients
- Enable the AEM by setting green >0
- Enjoy!
Configuration tips
- While the AEM can work with raw ingredients set to just the basic plates etc., it's probably better to make slow intermediates (ex: engines, speed modules) elsewhere and have the AEM pull them from the logistics network.
- If you paste multiple AEMs, make sure to rename their signal groups so they have separate configs. Ideally this would be a parameter in the blueprint, but that's not supported.
- The AEM can make quality items if you configure quality requests and quality ingredients.
- You can use the same signal group for AEM requests and personal logistics. That way, you just request 50 chem plants and sit back while the AEM and your bots take care of it.
Help! It's stuck!
The AEM will get stuck if it hits an ingredient that it can't make. In this case, correct your requested item or ingredients config then toggle the green signal to reset the AEM.
