Description
This setup is guaranteed to fully protect Nauvis for the whole duration of the CME.
Plop it down, hook it up to a water source and wait about an hour for it to charge.
- External power required when charging: 43.3 MW (49 steam engines = 44.1 MW)
- Water imput required: 745/s (offshore pump = 1200/s)
The Umbrella & steam battery are on their own separate electric network to prevent draining the battery if base power isn't sufficient; meaning as long as it's off, the Umbrella's steam battery can only be filled and won't drain, even in case of total base blackout.
- [6/6] (Full) Charging time: 81 minutes
- [4/6] (Enough for CME) Charging time: 54 minutes
Fully protects Nauvis from 2nd yellow lamp gauge [4/6], but full capacity is recommended [6/6]
!Switch Umbrella ON from Constant combinator before CME hit!
- Delivers up to 2.79 GW for 125s (348.75GJ)
All materials available from chemical (blue) science
- Safety measures:
- Excess production: 0.51GW
- Excess charge: 166.75GJ
- Off-grid Umbrella
- Blackout-proof Radar
- Meteor defence
7 day/night cycles are required to keep the umbrella & gauges fully powered at night from included solar array; after this time they will forever remain powered.
- Core components:
- 480 Steam turbines
- 144 Storage tanks
- 8 Electric boilers
Hook only the medium electric pole to base power (bottom middle) to keep the system isolated from base power
Have fun :)
