A set of four of this blueprint can completely use a compressed yellow belt of the basic forms of any of the ores (thank God the crafting times don't change between any of those recipes...). Was supposed to be basic when I started but ended up pretty complicated, still only uses things that can be researched with red science alone. It can also fit inside a Factorissimo 2 Mk1 factory, with some minor belt squishing adjustments to get the inputs and outputs right. There's space in the middle to run another two belts of ore; if you do so and use all three, you will be able to produce two fully compressed belts of iron plates, though I haven't done any math on where you'd have to split them off.
