Description
Collection of large ship BPs from my playthrough + some more as I get further and further down the road.
Titan - Inner Three Plannets
Titan IS LARGE so count on needing a lot of platform to get her built. She is fully capable of operating on all of the three inner planets, get to them and get away from them. There are couple "trash" dump belts on the ship that dispose of some items and at which point can be configured thru the amount set on the inserters by each belt. The point of this ship is "Function over Form" not beauty. Her main purpose as Mk.1 is to provide a lot of steel plates for Nauvis or any other base, as well as give a huge cargo transport options.
Even with her size she will get over 200knots on speed and stay safe. She is equipped with a belt loop system that allows her to refill water tanks from planets. Just request 1000 barrels of water and they will get shipped in, emptied and sent back to the surface (if you got your pad set as so). Its not really needed but I am not always the most patient and it's a lot faster than waiting on ice.
Odin - Aquilo Runner
Odin is self sufficient HUGE size ship that was made for safe travel to and from Aquilo. It is equipped with smart nuclear reactor as a source of its power while around Aquilo when needed but it carries enough solar panels to not really need it within the inner three. The ship is fully capable of manufacturing all of its ammo, fuel etc. as needed with PLENTY of room for anything else you may need. Theres lit. enough room on this ship to make it into a fully functional mobile factory above Aquilo. Theres enough of storage space on this ship to carry over entire bases and tons of supplies on top of it.
There are three versions of this ship. One is with smelters and another one with foundries on it and the last is the version with foundries that has fusion reactor on it for post Aquilo gameplay. I prefer the one with foundries but some folks like their smelters. All quality improved buildings etc. can be replaced with tier 1 and not much will change as thats how it ran at start.
YES THERE ARE POWER POLES AROUND THE NUCLEAR REACTOR! The reactor BP was designed on the ground so it was easier to just paste it on the ship without having to worry about it.
UPGRADE TO FUSION ->
- Look at the standlone BP called "Fusion Core Reactor for Odin" and request all the parts needed for the BP to the ship
- Disconnect the water line from the assemblers for water barrels. Set up 4 liquid storage tanks in the mid section of the ship bellow the cargo depot in the empty space between the solars and pipe them to the water barrels assemblers.
- Change the assemblers by the cargo depo from water barrels to fluroketone barrels and send up some fuel to fill up the newly built tanks. Place a pump bellow the new tanks leading to where the new reactor will be so once its placed the fluid will drain from these tanks to the ones by the reactor.
- Send up some fusion fuel.
- !!!PROCEED FURTHER ONLY IF YOU HAVE ALL THE MATERIALS NEEDED INCLUDING FUEL CELLS AND LIQUID!!!
- Remove the cargo depo stack inserter that output the nuclear fuel so no more fuel would enter into the system.
- Remove the bottom stack inserters by reactor that put nuclear fuel on the storage loop and wait for all extra fuel to get back into the cargo depo.
- Once the fuel from outer loop is back disconnect the belt on top of the nuclear reactor that brings in new fuel and set up stack inserter from cargo depo for fusion fuel instead. At this point you should have fusion cells and fluoroketone liquid stocked up and ready.
- Delete the entire Nuclear Reactor setup. (Leave the pipes around it for now they can be removed later) Quickly paste in the new Fusion Core Reactor.
- Pipe in the liquid and connect the conveyor with cells.
- Reactor should start up right away and now you can remove the rest of the water pipes from the nuclear reactor and upgrade or improve the storage loop for fuel cells. OBVISOULY DO NOT REMOVE the entire water setup and pipes as you still need them for other things.
Ragnarok
Ragnarok is a safe bet for traveling to the Solar Edge and some distance beyond to collect the Promethium Asteroid Chunks. It has cargo hold big enough to get a decent amount of them back as well. As a safe bet do not travel past Aquilo unti the ammo belts for rockets/turrets and railguns are completely full with at least 30k+ magazines and rockets and at least 2k railgun shells in cargo to make sure you have engough to get you safely in and out of the area. Once your main belt is at least semi full the great way to get more is to set this ship on Vulcanus -> Gleba -> Fulgora -> Nauvis loop run. It will have enough fuel to run this without any issues and will collect enough materials to start stocking up the hold with ammo.
There are also two more BPs included for Biolab and Science Lab setups for all the sciences you might get. Just replace the rare science labs with normal ones and you are good to go.
SPACE BPs: You will be told the BP cannot be pasted into uncharted areas due to the massive size of the ships included. Just paste in what you can, let it build out and then paste it again!
Enjoy and have fun!
UPDATE 1: Odin - Foundries:
- Rebuilt the conveyor lines as some copper would get on the ice belt causing the inserters to stop working.
- Removed lasers as the ship makes enough ammo for regular turrets + it saves power.
- Removed some beacons where they werent really needed like on fuel lines due to the huge holding tanks and enough production as is.
UPDATE 2: Odin - Foundries:
- Read throu yalls posts and made changes based on that. Still working on solving the top belt bottleneck :)
UPDATE 3: Odin - Fusion Reactor
- New BP added for the version of this ship with Fusion Reactor
UPDATE 4: Odin - Factory:
- New BP Added for Odin with onboard manufacturing
UPDATE 5:
- New BP Added for Ragnarok
