Convert coal into rocket fuel via Coal Liquefaction. It is small scale, intended not for rockets, but for vehicles. Produces 19.5 rocket fuel per minute.
Turns 5KMJ of coal into 4.4KMJ rocket fuel. When adding the cost of the energy to do the conversion, that doesn't seem like a good return, but rocket fuel increases vehicle acceleration by 80%. This is useful as your base expands and trains have to travel long distances to pick up resources.
Instructions for Use
- Place the Blueprint
- Connect the build to water, coal and power at the top left. One yellow belt is enough coal
- Insert at least one barrel of heavy oil into the assembler at the top left
- Watch how the refineries start working one by one
- The refineries are now running in a closed loop, with the only output being rocket fuel at the mid-right of the screenshot.
Notes
- After bootstrapping the build with at least 1 barrel of heavy oil, it is safe to remove the assembler
- If the rocket fuel backs up, the build will stop
- The concrete in the screenshot is not part of the blueprint
- The blueprint includes Creative Mode entities only to supply the coal, water and power and to consume the solid fuel. Without these entities, you can use the build in vanilla
