Self reciprocating factory devoted to creating U-235. All output is fed back to it's own centrifuge with excess U-235 passed to next machine once it's saturated.
Recommendations
- Inserter capacity bonus 7 research. Passing of overflow U-235 is designed around a stack inserter with a 12-stack capacity. Will probably still work fine without it, just not as efficiently.
- It will take some time for all the machines to get fully saturated on their own. This can be sped up by manually taking U-235 from a centrifuge's inventory while it's processing (taking the excess) and depositing it in the next centrifuge.
- You can easily stack the blue prints next to one another, increasing output and sharing beacons.
- As with any factory using a lot of beacons, I'd recommend using a power switch to cut power automatically once you have enough U-235 or when an output belt is backed up.
- The U-235 input (seen on bottom of image) can be removed if you have at least 40 of them in the bottom 2 centrifuges.
Input
- U-238 - 5.35/s
- U-235 - 40 on each side (bottom centrifuge) to prime
Output with Beacons and Speed 3 Modules
- U-235/s - 1.783/s
Output without modules or beacons
- U-235/s - 0.333/s
Issues
While playing around with the factory input/output, I occasionally got a U-238 overload on a centrifuge. In other words, it wasn't properly being fed back in to itself. The belt circuitry is supposed to take care of that but I haven't seen it again since finishing the setup. If you have this issue, remove the U-238 on the belt being fed in to it and it will go back to normal.
