Smart Train Station for 1 to 4 cargo wagons.
Cargo payload will be set via constant combinator for each wagon and bots will deliver the stuff (only when needed).
Good for trains stationed near your mall. Good for many different items. Easy to change cargo payload. For use as personal trains or automated use like outpost-delivery trains.
Pros:
- Exact amounts will be loaded
- Requester chest overload from bots will be unloaded via train (no loading filter > everything from requester chest will be loaded, no waiting time if 1 item is not fully available)
- 2 inserters/requester chests per wagon
- No need to manually set requester chests or restrict inventory slots of cargo wagons.
- Items not on list will be unloaded with full stack inserter stack size (every wagon could handle trash)
- Requests only the needed items and chests will be cleared in the process (no need to keep goods available in requester chests)
- Color indicated (green: ready, yellow: loading, red: no train in station, blue: no items set and everything will be unloaded)
- Send signal green to train if everythings ready (for automation)
- Quite compact
- (Built-in clock with 4sec for inactivity until signal green is sent - needed to prevent color signals from flickering, because of latecomer bots)
Cons:
- No repition of same items on constant combinators for different wagons
- Latecomer bot delivering if everythings loaded (was still an issue in previous builds), makes the train sometimes busy, for a few secs, after it was completely loaded (since overload unloading via train) but it isnt a big issue.
- You should only use 39 of the 40 cargo slots per wagon
- Not as fast as train loading with 6 or 12 inserters, but its smart and compact :-)
- (Cargo overload with items set in combinators will be unloaded with stack size of 1)
Constant combinators besides the power poles are to set for each wagon - indicated with different bot chests in the blueprint. And dont forget to set them to ON if you want to start loading. If you have more than 18 different items per wagon you can set up another constant combinator and connect it with red and green to the first one.
