This is a compact, tileable blueprint to manufacture Flamethrower Turrets using perfect ratios. I like to keep my production units as vertically compact as possible. I prefer building directly from base materials rather than intermediate products whenever feasible. This keeps the overall base less complicated, and the ratios correct no matter what else your factory produces.
Advantages:
- Self contained: Only base materials are input. Does not place a load on existing gear, pipe, or engine supply, or require bus lanes for them.
- Compact: Constrained to 10 tall, by 19 wide. Placing more tiles overlaps by 2, saving even more space.
- Tiles easily: Pre-configured to connect to the blueprint next to it.
- Perfect ratios: According to Factorio Calculator: https://kirkmcdonald.github.io/calc.html#data=0-17-60&min=2&items=flamethrower-turret:f:2&ignore=iron-plate,steel-plate
- Capable infrastructure: All throughput taken into account. As built, inputs can sustain 6 tiles, yielding 27 items per minute.
- Upgradeable: Use upgrade planner to upgrade infrastructure and assemblers, yielding 45/min@6 tiles.
- Moduleable: Up to two speed modules per tier 2 assembler (27/min@3 tiles), 2 speed modules in tier 3 assemblers (45/min@3 tiles), or 4 speed modules in tier 3 assemblers (45/min@2 tiles)
INPUT:
- Red belt of Iron Plates (15% use per tile)
- Yellow belt of Steel (~9% u.p.t.)
OUTPUT:
- Flamethrower turrets at 4.5 per minute, per tile.
Notes:
- Iron demand is highest. If you need more than 45/min production, add another parallel row of tiles.
This is my second in a line of optomized blueprint releases. I welcome any and all feedback. Thank you, and enjoy!
