*Update: To match my newer blueprints, I've gone back and redone this one with water using https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Noxys_Waterfill Again not vital for the blueprint itself, but does make it more visually rad. I did place a couple more lights and changed a couple utility pole locations, but again just to make it more visually appealing.
This is a blueprint for an engine factory (for use in blue science, etc.) that uses my City Block blueprint as its premise. If you have the city block laid out already this will socket in there neatly.
This however is not a perfect ratio factory by any means. So please don't look at it as such.
It uses my alphanumerics to label it, in this case it was C7, I find that sector to be a handy place to put the block location, of course remove and/or change the numerals as you see fit.
It loads iron plate through the bottom and steel plate through the top. The train stations and my names are included in the blueprint, just so you can reference which is which yourself. To the West is my little rocket fuel train stop. It works by turning on the stop if the logistic box contains less than 60 rocket fuel. Then logistic bots will distribute the fuel out to the three requestor boxes as needed. (This city block is an isolated logistic network, so you can place just a few bots in here and they'll stay to manage the rocket fuel distribution.)
The engines themselves are loaded to the East. As the rows of engines only fill half a belt, and it's an odd number of rows one ends up with just half a belt. I put the balancer in place on the output to help address that. I could have wedged another row in but that would make unloading stuff very cramped, and I wanted to maintain a bit of space in the block itself.
I also got a little creative with the stone blocks and cement just to dress up the belts.
If anyone finds this fun, and wants to see more laid out city blocks, or you have comments on how to tidy this particular print up, please let me know either way.
Cheers
