Original description
I don't like using FARL to lay down my rail networks so I came up with a system that allows for fully automated construction using bots. The system is based on chunks with the size of 24 by 24 tiles (12 by 12 rail segments), marked by the hazard concrete in the top image. A single segment can span one or more of these chunks and can have connections to other segments on some or all chunk borders it spans
I gathered the original designs into a single blueprint book. I added three derivative blueprints to the book.
- A 2 lane version of the safe rail crossing, based on the 4 lane original
- A 24x24 concrete square bordered with hazard concrete (so 22x22 of regular concrete) like the background of the images.
- A 24x24 empty square of hazard concrete.
The concrete squares are helpful when getting started with the system.
