It's a display using rail signals instead of lamps. The rail signal state can be enabled in the map view, which means this is readable from map view. The blueprint contains 5 digits, but it can be expanded further by just copying some of the existing digits and adding them to one end.
Usage: Connect one circuit signal to the power pole of the right most digit. Do not feed multiple signals or it won't work correctly.
