Description
This Belt Throughput Meter measures the Average, Min, and Max of any product(s) that flow over the circuit-attached belt. The combinator in the top-right, with the belt attached, is the input from the belt. This is added via a counter, and output to the rest of the meter logic. By default, the meter will count all items that pass on the belt. You can specify a specific product to measure on a mixed belt by changing the value of the input combinator from "Each" to a specific item.
The constant combinator on the right-most edge controls the number of seconds in a counting cycle (value 'S'). It is set to 60 seconds by default. The small Nixies below this show the current seconds in the cycle (up to 9999 seconds).
The output is displayed on the left, using the Nixie Tubes. The last 3 measurements are averaged, and are output using the middle Nixies. The Max (since last reset) is displayed in the top Nixies, and the Min (since last reset) is displayed in the bottom Nixies. The output is always in items/minute, with the integer displayed on the large Nixies and the decimal (2 places) on the small Nixies. This allows very very precise measurement (e.g. 13.33 vs 13.20) for detecting sub-optimal performance of highly-tuned designs.
There are two push buttons (from the push button mod) in the middle of the meter. These serve as the reset for Max and Min (upper and lower, respectively). The push buttons have "R" displayed on them, and they are next to the "+" and "-" symbols. To activate: be in range, hover the mouse over the button, and press "F". You should see a light on the button flash for 1 tick if the reset was successful, as well as the values in the Nixies will zero-out if a previous value was being displayed. The reset will have to be hit at least once after the counter timer has started in order to prime the logic.
The location of the circuit-attached belt can be changed -- 1) Place the new belt section, 2) Shift-Right-Click the existing belt piece, 3) Shift-Left-Click the new belt piece, 4) Connect the new belt piece to the input of the combinator, 4) Delete the old belt piece.
The actual blueprint has a single Express Belt. The attached image was taken with a basic belt and the Creative Mod to flow some items.
The has been fairly well bullet tested, but I welcome feedback.
