This is a compact, tileable blueprint to manufacture producing Processing Units (blue circuits) using perfect ratios. I like to keep my production units as vertically compact as possible. I prefer building directly from base materials rather than intermediate products whenever feasible. This keeps the overall base less complicated, and the ratios correct no matter what else your factory produces.
Advantages:
- Self contained: Only base materials are input. Does not place a load on existing green or red circuit supply, or require bus lanes for them.
- Compact: Contained to 15 tiles tall, by 43 tiles long.
- Tiles easily: Pre-configured to connect to the blueprint next to it.
- Perfect ratios: According to Factorio Calculator: https://kirkmcdonald.github.io/calc.html#data=0-17-60&min=2&belt=fast-transport-belt&items=processing-unit:f:20&ignore=plastic-bar,copper-plate,iron-plate,sulfuric-acid
- Capable infrastructure: All throughput taken into account. As built, inputs can sustain 4 tiles, yielding 90 items per minute.
- Upgradeable: Use upgrade planner to upgrade infrastructure and assemblers, yielding 112.5 items per minute from 3 tiles.
- Moduleable: Up to two speed modules per tier 2 assembler (135/min@3 tiles), or 1 speed module in tier 3 assemblers (112.5/min@2 tiles)
Disadvantages:
- Electric poles are a bit of a rats nest
- Tier 3 assemblers with more than 1 speed module will overwhelm the infrastructure inside each tile, limiting their output.
INPUTS: (from top to bottom)
- Red belt of Copper plate (25% use per tile)
- Red belt of Iron plate (15% u.p.t.)
- Yellow belt of Plastic bars (20% u.p.t.)
- Underground pipe of Sulfuric Acid (112.5/minute/tile)
- Red belt of Iron plate (15% u.p.t.)
- Red Belt of Copper plate (25% u.p.t.)
OUTPUT:
- Top belt, 22.5 Processing Units per minute for each tile.
This is my first in a line of optimized blueprint releases. I welcome any and all feedback. Thank you, and enjoy!
