Need to deliver an assortment of items across the entire map? Is setting up and modifying supply stations a pain? Worry no more! PLT delivers the EXACT request1 you desire to all logistics networks containing a PLT Drop-Off station.
Set up a "supply line" by building a Loading Depot, selecting an icon, and creating/modifying a logistics group in the constant combinators. Finally, place down and fuel the PLT for your brand-new supply line and you are ready to start delivering! Logistics groups can be modified at any time from anywhere and your delivery will adapt accordingly.
The PLT can handle:
- Regular Deliveries (Drop-Off Station)
- One-time, priority deliveries (Personal Delivery)
- Combination of the above
Technical limitations:
- One logistics group per supply line (icon)!
- The contents of the train change as soon it reaches a Loading Depot or is missing one of the newly requested supplies.
- The Drop-Off passive provider chest fills up if you don't unload it.
- The Drop-Off station reads the contents of your logistics network and makes sure the requested items are available. That means items outside the logistics network will be treated as if they don't exist, e.g. ammo in turrets.
- The combination of the above two points means that typically ammo will be unloaded relatively slowly on the first supply runs.
- 1The PLT is automatically loaded/unloaded with the correct items as long as you can supply it and keep it under 1 wagon-full! It could be expanded beyond one wagon-full by simply copying the circuit setup, however, I have found no need for it yet and it's already way overengineered as is :D.
Core idea and a lot of the circuitry is taken from Infer a Good Time's video. Felt there was a bit to gain by upgrading it to handle unloading overflow as well as making use of interrupts rather than a simple drop-off <-> supply bounce.
Change Log:
1.1.0
- Fixed inconsistent naming in Parameters
- Fixed undesired behavior with minimal re-supply quantity > 2 items
- Fixed bots not being resupplied directly to the Logistic network
- BREAKING [Loading Depot & Drop-Off]: Moved constant combinators so they are more obviously visible
- BREAKING [Drop-Off]: Reorganized circuit components
